We love our Facebook followers. We have over 1700 likes, which means we have grown a lot over the past year! It seems like just yesterday we hit 1,000 likes…
And we continue to grow every month. We use Facebook to communicate with our members the information that you need about our system; but we also share out interesting content about retirement and other relevant topics that we hope you find useful and entertaining.
Unless you follow these things the way I do, you may have missed a very important announcement from Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg last week. The social media giant is changing it’s formula that decides what you see in your news feed. Not to go into too much detail, but basically it’s going to be harder for you to get updates from the businesses and brands that you follow, favoring updates from your friends and family. Which sounds great for the user, but for those of us who work to get information to our customers, members, or followers through Facebook it becomes a challenge. And you may not even notice you’re not seeing us anymore.

If you want to make sure that you keep seeing LAGERS’ information in your Facebook newsfeed, follow the steps in the infographic below to set us up under Facebook’s “See First” option.
Three easy steps:
1. Go to our Facebook page, and make sure you “like” the page
2. Click the drop down next to the word “following”
3. Click to check the “see first” option
On your mobile device, it works the same way, just make sure to choose the see first option after you choose “following.”
