There are a few things to know before you make that big decision to ride off into the sunset of retirement. The first one is this very important deadline…
If you plan to ring in the new year by saying goodbye to your job, then we need your retirement application by December 2. That’s coming right up!
The next thing you need to do is gather your paperwork to send with your application. We’ll need copies of your –
- Birth certificate
- Spouse’s birth certificate (if applicable)
- Marriage license (if applicable)
Don’t forget to send these in along with either your paper application or send them when you apply online through myLAGERS.
Then, watch your mail. A few weeks before your retirement effective date, Missouri LAGERS will send you a packet of information on taxes, direct deposit, and more. Then you’re all set.
